Hundreds of budding film makers descend on Swansea’s Quadrant Shopping Centre

Hundreds of budding film makers turned up at Quadrant Shopping Centre when they had the chance to get in front of the camera and make their very own short film at its ‘Movie Makers’ event.

Participants were able to star in their very own mini-production courtesy of a real green screen – just like the ones used on real movie sets. Not only that, people were able to learn the tricks of the trade when performing for the camera as well as getting involved in some of the processes that go into making a film.

Each workshop was run by two professional film makers who went through the development of storyboards, acting with a green screen as well as editing techniques.

Lisa Hartley, Quadrant Shopping Centre manager, said:

“Our ‘Movie Makers’ activity was a fantastic success with so many visitors turning up to have their moment in front of the camera. It was certainly clear that many people have the acting bug and loved the opportunity to try their hand at acting and learning the more technical side of how films are made.”
