Professor Chris Allton, Director of Oriel Science said:

“It’s great to be running Super Science Swansea for our third consecutive year. Once again the public will have the opportunity to see snapshots of Swansea University’s cutting-edge research packaged up into interactive and inspiring exhibits.

“Science touches so many aspects of modern life and there are clear indications of an impending skills shortage in this area. Super Science Swansea is designed to help encourage the next generation choose science subjects in school to help plug this shortage area and pursue rewarding careers.

“Science is for everyone and is blind to gender and background. So it is particularly important for us to help celebrate International Women’s Day with the Women’s Equality Network. There will be a number of public talks by leaders in their fields who are wonderful role models to our young, female budding scientists.”
