    A business which helps to look after some of Swansea’s most vulnerable members has received a major boost after being recognised in the Top 20 Home Care Provider rankings with a perfect 10 out of 10 score.
    Swansea-based Living at Home is one of only two companies in the entirety of Wales that managed to achieve such a remarkable score.
    Aimed at making it easier for those seeking home care to find the right agency, Home Care announces the Top 20 agencies each year.
    The Top 20 Awards guide those in need of care by highlighting those home care agencies which are consistently delivering high-quality services. Out of nearly 12,000 agencies in the UK, the top 20 are selected based on over 12,500 reviews written by those receiving the care and their family and friends in the past year.
    ‘We are hugely proud of our rankings which have come from what many of us refer to as the “TripAdvisor” for the social care sector,’ said Living at Home’s Joanne Abraham, who entered the care sector after caring for her mum, who sadly passed away in 2016.
    ‘Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to individuals, not just through care services but also by offering valuable information that can potentially reduce the costs associated with care.
    ‘This assistance extends to those receiving care through council provisions or agencies like ours, as well as to individuals who are in the initial stages of understanding and navigating the care system. Armed with the right information from the outset, people can make informed decisions.
    ‘It’s imperative that we make people aware of available benefits and funding support options, guide them through the application process, and offer support every step of the way should they require it. So we were delighted to welcome Julie James MS for Swansea West to share our good news and to share our plans for our “Funding Options and Guidance for Home Care” campaign.’
    Presenting Jo with the Top 20 Home Care Provider ranking, Julie James MS said;
    ‘Visiting the “Living at Home” team at Henley House, who provide help to some of Swansea’s most vulnerable community members, was a fantastic experience.
    ‘Witnessing how a career in caregiving can transform compassion into real support was inspiring. I want to congratulate them on their award, recognising their status as a ‘top 20 homecare provider’.
