Chloe Hayden, 21, a Cardiff-based mental health activist, is on a mission to make prom dreams come true for young people who may not have the financial means to purchase a new dress. Hayden, known for her advocacy since being crowned Miss Voluptuous Wales, is launching a heartfelt initiative to collect donations of gently used prom dresses and accessories.

Prom season is a memorable milestone in a teenager’s life, yet many young girls face barriers to attending this significant event due to financial constraints. Hayden, inspired by a commitment to support her community, is spearheading a local drive to gather donated prom dresses and accessories to provide a magical prom experience for those in need.

“I believe every young girl deserves the chance to feel confident and beautiful on their prom night. The financial burden should not be a barrier to attending such a significant event. With the support of our community, we can make a real difference in the lives of these young people and create lasting memories they will cherish forever,” says Hayden.

The community-driven initiative is calling on Cardiff and surrounding area residents, local businesses, and organisations to contribute gently worn prom dresses, shoes, and accessories. Please contact Chloe at [email protected], if you wish to support.

Hayden plans to distribute the donated prom dresses to eligible young people. Details are TBC. The event will not only provide them with the opportunity to select a beautiful dress but also create a supportive and empowering environment for them to feel special on their prom night.
