The Royal Mint Experience, located in Llantrisant, South Wales is set to host a series of eggs-tra special activities throughout the Easter holidays, from 22ndMarch – 8th April, including a visit from Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Dinomania!

The tourist attraction will be offering a series of activities celebrating all things pre-historic, in addition to its usual award-winning tours when they will be able to strike their own Stegosaurus 50-pence.

    Activities include:

    • Dinosaur Brick Building with Bricks McGee – Monday 25th March / Tuesday 26th March:

Bricks McGee will return to The Royal Mint Experience to take visitors on a pre-historic adventure with dinosaur brick building.

    • Dinosaur Shows and Meet and Greets with Dinomania – Thursday 4th April / Friday 5th April:

Come face-to-face with a 4m Tyrannosaurus-Rex as Britain’s Got Talent finalists Dinomania stomp into The Royal Mint Experience. From playing dinosaur themed games with knowledgeable rangers to experiencing a dinosaur egg hatch, there is sure to be fun for the entire family.

Dan Johnson, Exhibition Manager at The Royal Mint Experience said: “We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to The Royal Mint Experience to celebrate the Easter Holidays. This is an exciting time of year made extra special by our series of pre-historic themed events, in addition to our popular tours. We are also delighted to be offering visitors the opportunity to strike their own Stegosaurus 50-pence and take a memento of their time at The Royal Mint Experience home with them.”

The Royal Mint Experience welcomes around 60,000 visitors each year. The unique tour takes visitors ‘behind the scenes’ of coin making, followed by an interactive exhibition exploring 1,100 years of The Royal Mint’s history.

Visitors will also have the unique experience of seeing The Royal Mint’s workforce producing official UK coins as well as coins for other countries.

Autism-friendly tours run on the first Sunday of each month at 9:15am. Visitors are welcome to call to arrange a different day or time. On this tour, we reduce sound and lighting stimulants and go at the pace of the group who book on. We liaise prior to the visit to make any necessary accommodations.

To book tickets to The Royal Mint Experience, please visit The Royal Mint’s website. Visitors will be charged an additional £7.50 to strike their own coin as part of their tour.
