Today, there is a lot that technology and software can do for us that would otherwise require incredible brainpower to achieve. That also means a lot of time – and thus money – can be saved through technological advancements. This benefits a myriad of fields, specifically in marketing, which used to be reliant on more physical forms of promotional campaigns. Luckily, everything is now simplified to a few online tools and a couple of clicks. Here are seven ways technology can be used as a tool to grow your brand. Here’s what you need to know.

    1. Simplification

Data is everywhere and is relatively easy to obtain. In a single click, you can generate a web analysis that will reveal useful information about your blog or website. Before diving into the data, you need to analyze your plan and prioritize your steps in a logical order. Brainstorming is a great tool to really establish and prioritize what you and your team should be focusing on.

    2. Project Tracking Tools

Today, many tools exist that can allow you to track multiple projects at the same time that go beyond tedious excel sheets. With these tools, you can conduct discussions, and send files to your team. This is a level of coordination that Microsoft tools simply cannot offer on their own. Basecamp and Slack, for instance, have been designed with coordination and communication in mind.

    3. Social Media

Instagram and Facebook are especially useful for reaching large and diverse audiences online in this day and age. Social media truly has become a fantastic tool both for reaching out to your followers and customer bases and for analytical data that allow you to better understand consumer habits and behaviors.

    4. SMS Marketing

SMS marketing is tried and tested and is still very much relevant today. Believe it or not, many people might not check their social media as much as they check their text messages. These are received directly on your phone and are harder to ignore. Although it may seem like an intuitive method, there is an art to it which is quite different from social media marketing. This experts guide explains why SMS marketing tactics are still relevant and what the best tactics are today. You’d be surprised to learn that text message marketing is actually on the rise, as you’re essentially reaching out to a generation that is more accustomed to texting than phone calls.

    5. A/B testing

A/B testing (also known as split testing) is a great way of determining what the optimal online promotional and marketing options might be for your company. It is a method that can be employed to test a wide range of information, by comparing two different versions of a website, emails, advertisement, etc., and monitoring the variations and disparities in performance.

A well thought out and organized use of A/B testing can end up making quite a substantial leap towards both the effectiveness and the efficiency of your team’s combined efforts. Really bringing things back to the basics and down to the most tested elements of a marketing strategy, and then combining the most successful ones we choose, can help bring our marketing efforts to a more lucrative and effective place.

    6. Customer Feedback Tools

These are tools that will allow you to gear your strategies based on a more profound understanding of your customers. This is first done by using these systems to identify positive and negative experiences, and then analyze the information that pertains to the situation to then provide informative feedback that can then be directly incorporated into your marketing strategy. Once this is established, you can then automate the process and thus make your collection and dissemination of data and information much more efficient.

    7. Automation

Technology has changed the way we conduct our business with each other. Today, more than ever before, we have access to data which gives us clearer insight and vision, as well as better tools for productivity. Automation is an advantage that is available to almost everyone today when it would have been unthinkable just a generation ago. You can simplify everything you have to do into smaller chunks in a sequence that is more comfortable to you. That’s how automation comes in handy. You can automate it all with a flowchart, and it’s simpler than you may think. Tasks that would otherwise take days can be taken care of at the click of a button.

There are countless online tools and software programs that you can use to your advantage to take your business to the next level and reach wider demographics. While physical promotional campaigns are still used today, it’s best to incorporate these tools into your marketing plan if you want your company and clientele to grow. The good news is some of these tips will cost you nothing but your patience, while others are still far more affordable than traditional marketing methods.
