Cardiff-based web development and online booking specialist, UpriseVSI has recruited two new members to its web development team.

Jaimie Warburton joins the company as Front End Developer. A creative and talented web developer, Mr Warburton worked at a South-Wales website development company on an apprenticeship scheme through University of Glamorgan, after which he graduated with a Diploma in Interactive Media.

Experienced in the development of user-facing features, Mr Warburton has worked on a number of full-stack web development projects, focusing on front-end features, interactions, browser manipulation, and cross-browser compatibility.

Mr Warburton will work on the front-end development of the new websites and web applications created by UpriseVSI, as well as the online booking and scheduling systems that the company delivers under its multi-award-winning thinkBooker brand.

Nick Shepherd joins the web development team as Senior Developer.  A graduate in Computer Science from Swansea University, Mr. Shepherd has over ten years’ web development experience having previously worked as a Senior Software Developer for a Swansea-based company specialising in security-monitoring software, where he was responsible for the systems architecture, build and maintenance of a world-class security monitoring software solution.

At UpriseVSI, Mr. Shepherd will be responsible for leading one of the development teams to create responsive web applications, websites and web services as well as online booking and scheduling systems. A specialist in API integration, Mr. Shepherd will use his expertise to allow the applications and services developed by UpriseVSI to integrate with third-party software such as CRM, finance and email systems.

Commenting on the new hires, Gareth Rees Jones, Managing Director of UpriseVSI, said:

“The addition of Jaimie and Nick further strengthens our already robust web development capabilities.  As our client base continues to grow and we win more online booking and large, complex web development projects, it’s vital that we continue to enhance and expand our teams with the right people.

“The skills that Jaimie and Nick bring to the business will allow us to deliver high-quality solutions and platforms for the clients that we work with. I look forward to the valuable contribution that both of them will bring to the business as we move forward.”
