Working with other local students or groups to institute changes in the area where you live can be a long-term help. Not only that, but by doing some research online with your local group, you can connect to larger groups and make even bigger changes. 

Reduce your carbon footprint  

The ways you can reduce your carbon footprint may not be obvious. Although, taking shorter showers, turning the lights off when you leave the room, and consuming less dairy and meat are some easy but amazing ways to reduce your own carbon footprint. 

Get political 

Voting gives you a chance to speak your mind and voting for candidates who support the laws that help with combating global warming is a great way to involve the government. Another thing you can do is contact your elected officials. They are here to represent your community, so they have to listen when many people speak up about an issue. 

There are many consequences caused by global warming, such as shifting rainfalls and extreme weathers that lead to floods. It affects human health, and there is a huge increase in the number of heat-related deaths. Also, the wildlife is at risk because climate change is happening fast and many animals and plants are struggling. So it is time that we all learn our lesson, and start by making changes with ourselves, so we can make a change in the world.
