The Autism Directory charity has today launched a new charity name and logo to better reflect their increased range of services.

The charity has grown its online directory to over 32,000 worldwide listings of companies, services and products supporting the autism community. It delivers an employment programme via local Job Centres to equip autistic adults with the skills to gain employment and annual Live shows which are free to attend. A new community hub in Caerphilly as well as a long term helpline coordinated by their autistic staff have all seen an increase in use in recent months.

Headquartered in Treforest, South Wales, the charity was set up in 2010 and has grown steadily over the years to a team of 28. Today, 60% of the staff are autistic and this guides how the charity designs and delivers its services.

“There was very little information, help or support when my son was diagnosed. The Autism Directory was my way of creating an online resource for others facing the same challenges. As a charity, our collective lived autism experience is key to the way we engage with all our contacts and partners, and the name Autistic Minds captures this perfectly”. says Founder and CEO Nadine Honeybone.

The new name and logo was developed by Cardiff based agency Blue Stag and comprises of a bold typeface with a pinwheel icon, to symbolise the efforts of a community joining together to form a more powerful whole.
