Cheshire based children’s cancer charity, The Joshua Tree, hosted a Ladies Lunch at Delamere Manor, Cuddington on Thursday 25th November. The successful event raised £21,000 thanks to the lady’s huge generosity.

TV presenter, Bruce Turner who gave freely of his time to the children’s cancer charity, entertained more the 140 guests to highlight the importance of the charity’s work and telling one family’s story about the bereavement of their son Noah to cancer, aged only four, and the support they still receive from The Joshua Tree.

Guests enjoyed a two-course meal and fizz reception while entertained by Gary Barlow tribute act Dan Hadfield and saxophonist Saxomad, alongside fundraising games, a live auction, and raffle with fabulous prizes to be won.

Speaking about the event, Bruce said: “I thoroughly enjoyed attending The Joshua Tree Ladies’ Lunch and helping raise vital funds for families affected by the devastating impact of a childhood cancer diagnosis.”

Pippa Watson-Peck, Communications and Fundraising Manager for The Joshua Tree, said: “We are astounded by the generosity of our guests, and we would like to thank them for attending and raising so much on the day.

“The Joshua Tree can make a real and lasting difference with this support. On average we receive 15 new family referrals a year, but the last six months has seen over 47 new family referrals, a record high for the charity.”
