Known for its stunning landscapes, amazing wildlife, mythical tales, and some of the best legends ever told, Wales is by far among the best places to take a vacation. Located just west of England, the southwestern GB Island has a lot to offer for vacationers. Whether you’re a fan of sports, adventure, entertainment, or nightlife, you will never run out of things to see or do in the Land of Castles.

Besides, Wales is also home to a plethora of destinations you can visit for Easter in the UK and have a good time, whether you’re alone or traveling with family.

There’s No Better Time to Visit Wales than Easter!

The weeks leading up to Easter always provide a plethora of opportunities for those seeking fun times in Wales. With the sun setting around 5 pm or later, most places will have a lot of activities going on to keep you occupied in your Welsh Easter.

There are plenty of cricket matches to enjoy, not to mention the art and music festivals this season is famous for. From Cardiff to Swansea, a lot of dating events are also available to check out in wales. This is a good reason to get familiar with various flower arrangements for easter, especially if you’re traveling with your loved one or plan to meet them in Wales.

Just like in many other places, it is customary for people in Wales to express love to those who matter the most to them by getting them flowers that capture the spirit of spring. If you love spending time around fresh blooms, don’t forget to visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales

Attractions and Things to Do In Wales on Easter Weekend

    • Go On An Adventure: Hiking is a sure way to enjoy nature in its element. While in the Land of Castles the enchanting views of the Welsh Mountains will let you experience just that. While here, you can enjoy a jaunt down the winding lanes of the Tintern Valley, or stop by Tintern Abbey to see an icon of Welsh spirituality and culture.
    • Festivals: From the iconic “Back to the Future Day” to the “Cardiff Limetree”, there are more than enough festivals to go around for you during the Easter break. This is not to mention plenty of live music and theatre shows to enjoy.
    • Consider a Coastal Experience: For a breathtaking view of the coast of Wales, head to Aberaeron Beach near Lampeter University town. Don’t forget to go fishing for fresh oysters while at Wales’ coast.

    Places to Stay

With everything from grand and historic grand hotels to all-inclusive and family-run B&Bs, there’s a top-to-bottom array of places to stay in Wales.

Want to stay in a castle? Check out the medieval sights of the Vale of Glamorgan, where you can stay in the impressive 13th century Castle, Porthcawl. The B&B Life hotel in Aberporth is the perfect place to enjoy a post-stay swim or enjoy some fine dining after an afternoon at the beach.

If you’re looking for something a little smaller, you can try the One Chelsea Court, a 5-star hotel in Cardiff, or the beautiful House Hotel in Swansea. The point is that you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation in Wales.

What to Pack for Your Easter Visit To Wales

So, what do you pack when you go to Wales for the weekend?

As it is the UK, temperatures in Wales are usually not too high in April and around spring. This means that you can do great with shorts and sandals most of the time. Don’t leave your camera  behind if you need to capture some of those epic moments.

There is plenty of gorgeous and colorful scenery and opportunities to snap a few pics around flowers, cliffs, or waterfalls. Plus Wales is a renowned romantic destination among the country’s two smaller regions.

    Travel Regulations in Wales 2022

As a UK country, British citizens don’t need to register their vehicles before traveling to Wales, but if you do, you must carry a number plate and a Driver’s License. International travel is currently allowed as of March 2022, but according to a recent BBC post, local rules and quarantine still apply.

If you’re looking for a fun-filled Easter weekend, Wales can be a great destination. Whether you will have company or you intend to go solo, having the above few things in mind can help enhance your entire experience.
