First residents move into Lisvane development

Bellway has welcomed the first residents to a development which will form part of a new community to the north of Cardiff.

Longwood Grange, in Lisvane, is a development of 270 homes within the emerging Churchlands community of 1,000 homes.

Bellway opened three showhomes at Longwood Grange in November and has already sold 24 homes. Now the first customers have begun to move in.

Daniel Shone, Sales Manager for Bellway Wales, said: “Longwood Grange is a development with broad appeal. Our first buyers have included people who already live nearby, along with others who are looking for a home on the edge of Cardiff which can offer them access to the city from a more peaceful location.

“The three showhomes have proven effective in demonstrating the range of homes on offer here. They really help people to visualise the different sizes of homes, and how flexible layouts can be adapted to fit people’s varying needs.”

Longwood Grange will offer a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes. There will be 216 homes available for private sale and 54 designated as affordable homes for rental or shared ownership.

The showhomes are a three-bedroom Birch house type, and four-bedroom houses called the Chestnut and the Sycamore.

Daniel added: “Welcoming the first residents is a momentous occasion at any development. We really begin to see the community forming and once the development has its first occupants, it takes on a different ambience.

“The whole team, from sales staff to the site manager, go out of their way to make the move-in process a smooth one and form lasting bonds with our customers.

“We look forward to more of our new homeowners receiving their keys in the coming weeks.”
