    The Most Effective Tips to Earn Money on Boxing Betting in India

    Boxing has not only been popular since the success of the Klitschko brothers but this martial art was practiced as early as the time of the ancient Egyptians.

    Boxing has proven to be very profitable for some organizers betting in India, especially when the events are broadcast live.

    This is also the reason why so many tipsters are into boxing and constantly try to find new strategies.

    Boxing Rules for Beginners

    To get the best results while betting in India, you need to understand all the rules. In boxing, two opponents compete against each other and try to defeat the opponent in a fight. There are three ways to win the fight:

    1. By knocking out the opponent;
    2. By technical knockout
    3. By points.

    In a boxing match, at least in the big world championship fights, there are a total of 12 rounds, each lasting 3 minutes. But in some fights, it’s only 8 or 10 rounds after which the match is over.

    Three judges sit at the edge of the boxing ring and give a score for each round for each player. The “ten-point-must” system applies to the awarding of points.

    The winner of the round gets ten points, while the other fighter usually gets nine points. In the case of fouls or a particularly clear difference in performance, the number of points can also be set at eight points or fewer.

    At the end of a fight, the judges add up the round points they have awarded and announce which of the two opponents they consider the winner.

    Opportunities for Betting in India

    Most tipsters prefer placing bets on the fights of particularly well-known boxers. And, of course, the most popular ones are the fights where the world championship is at stake.

    However, there are numerous other fights that you can bet on throughout the year. There are currently four different world federations in professional boxing:

    1. World Boxing Association (WBA);
    2. World Boxing Council (WBC);
    3. International Boxing Federation (IBF);
    4. World Boxing Organization (WBO).

    In addition to the world championship fights, the associations also organize other internal championships. Here, too, you can take advantage of multiple betting opportunities.

    There are currently 17 different weight classes in boxing. In addition, world championships in amateur boxing and Olympic Games are organized for both professionals and amateurs.

    Boxing Betting Markets

    As you can see, there is a lot of potential in boxing when it comes to betting markets. However, not every bookmaker manages to provide a diverse selection of boxing offers. That’s why you should carefully study all the betting offers before registering at a bookmaker.

    As for the markets offered for a single fight, outright bets are available for pretty much any fight. Some other options for betting in India are:

    • Will the fight be decided by KO / by points / by a technical KO?;
    • In which round does the KO take place?;
    • How many points does the winner get in total?;
    • Which fighter will win the first/second/third round etc.?

    Long-term bets are also an option. For example:

    • Who will be WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO World Champion?;
    • Which fighter will record the most KO wins over the course of a year?;
    • Who will not lose a single fight?

    You can also bet on whether boxer a or b will go down. Since it is very unlikely that a boxing match will end in a draw, the odds, which are usually between 20 and 50, are set accordingly.

    It is advisable to always bet on a point win, as long as you are convinced that there will be no KO victory.

    Live betting is also very popular when it comes to boxing. And as long as you watch the fight, you can observe in which direction it develops for the boxers.

    If the opponent is already unsteady or battered, they may well be knocked down in the next round.
