Prominent Gwynedd gun shop owner Keith Jones is making final preparations to officially open his brand new store next weekend – at his home Vaynol Hall when The GWCT Welsh Game Fair is held next weekend, from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September.

The smart new store has a vast array of pre-owned shotguns – around 800 in total – ranging from entry level Baikal over-and-unders to top flight Purdey side-by-sides.

For the past 15 years Vaynol Gunroom had been located in Caernarfon, a town seven miles away. Keith explains: “The new store is just 20 steps from my front door and five times the size. This is an exciting moment in Vaynol Gunroom’s history and I am excited to showcase what we do to the tens of thousands of visitors that will descend on the estate over the three days of the event.”

As well as the new store opening, Keith will be manning a stand on Gunmakers’ Row (number J027) at The GWCT Welsh Game Fair displaying a selection of pre-owned shotguns for sale.

The stunning 1,000-acre Vaynol Estate, tucked between the foothills of Snowdon and the north Welsh coastline, coupled with an exciting line-up of falconry, ferrets, fishing, gundogs and game cookery means this inaugural game fair for Wales is set to be an unmissable event. It will also act as an important fundraiser for the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, a charity that conducts vital research into Wales’ most vulnerable species such as woodcock and sea trout. “We are all so excited for this new event to come to North Wales,”  he commented, adding: “Vaynol Hall is the ideal venue to bring everyone together.”
