Thousands of mourners have began to file past Queen Elizabeth II, as she lies in state in Westminster Hall.

The public have been queuing since Monday, sleeping on the streets of London to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II.

She was brought in a procession from Buckingham Palace with King Charles III walking behind the coffin, joined by other members of the Royal Family including Princes William and Harry.

Guns were fired in Hyde Park and Big Ben tolled every minute, for the 38-minute walk.

Latest estimates suggest queues are currently three miles along the South Bank of the River Thames as people wait to view the Queen in Westminster.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to file past in the coming days, as the Queen rests in state. The public will be able to view the Queen’s coffin for up to 23 hours per day. Mourners are asked to keep moving.

For those who wish to pay their respects but can’t get to London, the BBC are live streaming the event, which can be viewed here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-62897146

The Queen’s funeral will be held on Monday 19 September.
