Do you have a business idea but need some inspiration to get started? Would you like to hear successful businesswoman talk about their journey to success? Focus Newtown Enterprise Hub is bringing you the fourth edition of She Can Start on Friday 11th November from 10:00 – 16:00, in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Following on from the successes of previous She Can Start conferences, this year it’s bigger and better than ever with some of the world’s leading speakers joining the Hub. Aimed at empowering women to take charge of their future and start-up, the Hub has an exciting day planned with four distinguished businesswomen ready to inspire, motivate and share their stories.

Focus Newtown Enterprise Hub Manager, Holly Jones, said:

“She Can Start is a fantastic conference that helps women find the inspiration and confidence to build their dream business. This year we have four amazing speakers with different stories to share, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone on the day.”

The line-up includes Kate Strong, a World Champion Triathlete, Engineer and Coach who’s been seen on BBC, ITV, Sky and TEDx. The second speaker is Louise Ferguson, founder of Skinny Tan. She’ll be speaking about her time on Dragon’s Den and how she took her passion and turned her home-grown tanning brand into a world-wide phenomenon.

The third speaker is Pen Houston, founder of the Crisp Packet Project, which turns empty crisps packets into blankets. Pen has been all over social media, ITV, Channel 4, Euronews, newspapers, podcasts and livestreams. Finally, to round off the conference, Chloe Carter, will be sharing the story behind her award-winning, empowering and educational company, Because Animals are Worthwhile.

This conference is for women who have an idea but just need some inspiration, women who have been in business for years but want to come along for the ride and take some time out from their day-to-day routine. Or even women who want to connect and build strong business relationships.

Brace yourself for a day of thought provoking and inspiring talks with influential and successful women who will also answer any questions you might have. The best part? You can attend the conference from the comfort of your own home and spaces are fully funded through the Welsh Government. This means there’s no cost to you.

Focus Newtown Enterprise Hub is an innovative space to incubate and accelerate new, and growing businesses based at Royal Welsh Warehouse, Newtown, Powys. Focus Newtown Enterprise Hub is funded by the Welsh Government.
