Founders & Co., Swansea’s much-loved Wind Street hub of independent food, drink, fashion and shopping outlets, is celebrating small businesses by offering one lucky local business owner a support package, that includes a one-off cash grant and mentoring.

This is the inaugural year for the Founders & Co. Small Business Support Package as the company looks to further build on its role as a nurturer of up-and-coming local business talent. Launched on 1st December, it’s simple for any small business to enter. Owners can nominate themselves or employees, customers and the wider Swansea community can nominate on their behalf, we just want to know what it is that makes your small business special.

Have you gone over and above to support the local community? Have you identified a gap in the local market and filled it in a creative way? Are you helping to protect the planet by ensuring your products and services are as sustainable as possible? Whatever little something it is that makes your small business special we want to celebrate it!

Entries will be considered by experts within the Founders & Co teams, who will choose a worthy winner that reflects the best that Swansea has to offer and which is able to demonstrate the company’s core values – Fun, Ambition, Integrity and Recognition. The winning business will receive a support package that includes:

    • A £500 cash grant
    • A meeting with a Director of Revolution Bars Group. When reviewing entries, the team will pair the winner with a suitable mentor for the workshop e.g.: Business Development Director, Brand Operations Director, Sales & Marketing Director
    • A PR and marketing package, with inclusion in media-facing materials compiled by the Founders & Co. team and a special feature on the brand’s Instagram channel, which has over 11,000 followers
    • A complimentary booking at Founders & Co, with a full food and drinks package for the business owner and their team, to help recognise and celebrate the efforts of the people behind the business
    • The opportunity to hold regular pop-up events and access to a free events space during 2023

Jamie McGowan, Corporate and New Concepts Manager at Founders & Co. owner Revolution Bars Group, commented: “We know that small businesses make up 99.2% of the total business population in the UK, and with the ongoing energy and cost of living crisis set to cause disruption for many of these across Swansea and beyond this winter, it’s never been more important to support those enterprises who make up the backbone of British industry.

“Our ethos at Founders & Co. has always been to champion start-up establishments, and that’s why we wanted to offer a small helping hand as we approach the winter months with the launch of our Small Business Support Package.”

To nominate a local business, and see the full terms and conditions, please visit foundersandco.uk/small-business-saturday and submit the form by Friday 16th December 2022.
