Using Nicotine Pouches when you’re travelling for long distances is one of the main benefits of using them, as you can use these subtle and discreet pouches that do not emit any form of smoke or vapour which makes them very convenient to use.

But what you may not be aware of is the rules and regulations involved with travelling on planes with your Nicotine pouches, but fear not, that’s what this blog is all about! I’ll explain the do’s and don’ts when it comes to travelling with your Nicotine Pouches as well as going through the benefits of using Nicotine Pouches when travelling so you’re not having to go long periods of time without being able to get your nicotine fix.

Taking your Nicotine Pouches onto a Plane

There’s nothing more exciting than going on holiday. Packing your bags, and leaving the dreary weather from home behind and jetting off to a sunny destination that you’ve picked to enjoy your well-deserved break! And you of course want everything to go to the plan without a hitch, with the security checks at the Airport being the thing that everybody gets anxious about.

If you’re wanting to take your Nicotine Pouches on the plane with you, but you’re not sure of the rules and regulations, it’s well worth checking out the airport guidelines that may be published on the website so you know what to expect prior to getting to the physical security checks itself.

Using the Gov.UK website as reference for the benefit of this article, it does not list Nicotine as a “harmful or toxic chemical/substance” meaning there are no restrictions in place to taking Nicotine Pouches through the security checks. This also applies to E-Liquid that contains Nicotine as this can be taken through checks as well, providing it meets the liquid volume protocol that all UK airports have in place.

I cannot find any specific amounts that is the maximum amount you can take through, but referencing to what the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), who look after all security at USA Airports have put, the maximum amount they permit is equivalent to around 20 cans of Nicotine Pouches, which I think you’d struggle to get in your hand luggage with everything else you’re travelling with. So maybe just stick to having a couple of cans on you and you should be fine going through the airport security checks!

Where Do I Store My Nicotine Pouches?

Nicotine Pouches can be stored in either your carry on/hand luggage or in your checked baggage which goes in the luggage hold of the aeroplane, which of course you cannot get access to until you land at your destination on the other side.

It’s pretty obvious really that you will want to keep your Nicotine Pouches on you or within close access so that you can use them during your flight. So I’d recommend either putting them in your hand luggage once you’ve got through security, or in your pocket so that you can just grab them and use them with ease as and when those pesky cravings for Nicotine start to creep up on you.

Can I Use My Nicotine Pouches on a Plane?

You most certainly can use Nicotine Pouches when on a plane as this is one of the main benefits of opting to use Nicotine Pouches when travelling anywhere is that they can be used where you may be and you’ll be set to get your Nicotine fix with ease!

When you start to feel those cravings for Nicotine creeping up on you, be sure to grab a Nicotine Pouch from the can you’ve got nearby and pop one in your mouth and let the pouch do its magic and satisfy for your needs for Nicotine! It’s really important that you dispose of your Nicotine Pouch in the correct and hygienic manner as well, as nobody will want to be picking up a soggy pouch that’s been in your mouth from the floor!

Make sure to put them in any nearby rubbish bags which may be on the plane, or use the handy compartment that’s on the top lid of all cans of Nicotine Pouches as this is what it’s designed for, so you can store used Nicotine Pouches in there until you can reach a bin to dispose of them correctly.

übbs have an excellent guide on UK airline policies around nicotine pouches and other nicotine products.

Why Is Using Nicotine Pouches When Travelling The Best Option?

If I hadn’t already sold you on the idea of the above question yet, I’ll do a bit more selling just to be sure you’re convinced that using Nicotine Pouches is the best option!

To my knowledge, there isn’t any Airline companies that will permit the use of E-Cigarettes on their aircrafts, and I know for sure that none of them will allow smoking a cigarette while on board either, so how else can you get a Nicotine fix when the two most common methods are not permitted? Simple…use a Nicotine Pouch!

Nicotine Pouches do not emit any form of smoke or vapour, and they’re so small and discreet in design, that people won’t even notice if you’ve got one in your mouth! It doesn’t matter if they do notice, as it’s still permitted and perfectly fine to use while flying.

People will try and take their E-Cigarette on board and get a sneaky “stealth” vape in, either hiding up in the bathroom or curled up in their seat, but this is just a blatant disregard of the Airlines rules and deciding to go against them and do your own thing is disrespectful, and also careless and could likely land you in hot water if you get busted, so ask yourself is it really worth it for a sneaky puff? Or should you just grab a can of Nicotine Pouches to take with you and use without risking breaking the rules? I think the answer is pretty obvious!

I hope this blog has been helpful and answered any questions you may have had about travelling with Nicotine Pouches, but I strongly suggest just double checking the Airlines official rules and regulations prior to flying as this is merely advice, and it’s better to get confirmation from the Airline itself prior to flying, just to be sure you stay on the right side of the rules!
