Leading specialist recruitment agency Acorn has added a Weston-super-Mare branch to its growing portfolio in the South West following further employer demand in the area.

Staff at the new branch are working closely with leading local businesses to place talented individuals into a variety of roles throughout a range of industries, with a particular focus on commercial support, industrial food production and engineering.

The Western-super-Mare team will be managed by newly-appointed Commercial Development Manager Matthew Hastie, who joined Acorn in 2017 and also oversees the recently-opened Bournemouth and Bridgwater offices.

Matt has a wealth of expertise in the recruitment and staffing industry; having previously set up his own independent agency he has managed more than 20 sites and 3,000 workers as a Regional Director. With more than 20 years of recruitment experience, Matthew’s unique knowledge of the South West job market has played a big part in Acorn’s ongoing growth across the region.

Speaking about the new branch, Matthew said:

“It’s fantastic to see another branch open in this region to build on our already substantial success in the South West. Managing Acorn’s two newest branches has been an exciting challenge so far, and Weston-super-Mare will help us deliver an even better service for both employers and jobseekers.

“This additional investment reinforces Acorn’s commitment to providing a comprehensive recruitment offering UK-wide and highlights our ongoing strategy for growth in the region, adding to an impressive fourteen existing offices.”

Acorn now has a branch in every county throughout the South West of England, with Weston-super-Mare joining existing branches in Barnstaple, Bideford, Bridgwater, Bristol, Bournemouth, Chippenham, Exeter, Gloucester, Newton Abbot, Plymouth, Taunton, Tiverton, Truro and Yeovil.

Noel Hoare, South West Divisional Manager for Acorn said:

“Here at Acorn we are very proud to announce this new addition to our growing South West portfolio.

“We’re confident that the new branch, headed by Matthew, will allow us to build on our relationships with local businesses as our Bridgwater and Bournemouth branches have. This addition substantially builds upon the wider success we have secured through our expansion in the region and will help us continue to grow as one of the UK’s leading specialist recruitment agencies and the recruitment partner of choice for local businesses.”

“Having been established in the South West for more than ten years, our new Weston-super-Mare location allows us to develop our specialist recruitment offering further. We have already seen great growth potential materialise in the South West and across the UK, and we are confident these new locations will bring just as much success.”
