South Caernarfon Creameries’ flagship Dragon brand launches new TV advert with five delicious recipes to get you through the week

With five new delicious recipes, Dragon Cheddar is coming to your screens with a brand new TV advert this week. From a classic cheese on toast, a hearty and comforting jacket potato with cheese and beans, a rich and indulgent vegetable lasagne, a traditional Welsh lamb cawl and a flavour-packed pizza with melted cheese, it is enough to get you from Monday through to Friday.

With online cheese sales soaring, and hot on the heels after launching the new and improved Dragon website at the end of last year, South Caernarfon Creameries who produce Dragon Cheddar are bringing the cheese alive on your television.

Commissioned under the umbrella of #CaruCymruCaruBlas #LoveWalesLoveTaste, a wider ‘Welsh Heroes’ cross-industry, collaborative Food & Drink Wales consumer campaign with the aim to build consumer awareness and loyalty for Welsh hero brands in Wales and the rest of the UK, the new Dragon Cheddar advert will be exclusively aired on Sky AdSmart in Wales, the television advertising system across Sky and Virgin Media, from Monday 8th May.

Supporting the campaign there will also be Out of Home advertising with digital displays on the M4 in Swansea, Cardiff and the Valleys, with additional advertising across social media platforms.

Explaining the concept behind the TV advertisement SCC Managing Director, Alan Wyn Jones said, “As cheese online sales grow at an exponential rate in the dairy market, we are taking Dragon Cheddar to the next level by showcasing its versatility to thousands of TV viewers.

“The advert’s tagline Everyday Everyway perfectly captures the versatility and accessibility of Dragon Cheddar. No matter what your culinary preferences or skill level, Dragon Cheddar can be enjoyed every day and in any way you choose.

“At Dragon, we take pride in producing high-quality, delicious Welsh cheese that can be enjoyed by everyone. Our Mature Welsh Cheddar is made using only the finest milk from our cooperative farmer members using traditional recipes, resulting in a cheese that is bursting with flavour and perfect for any occasion.

“So go ahead, get creative, and discover all the amazing ways you can enjoy Dragon Cheddar, and remember to watch out for our new advert for inspiration. For more information and to order Dragon Cheddar online go to dragonwales.co.uk/.”
