Award winning aluminium manufacturing and installation company AB Glass has launched a new access control division as the company seeks to enhance its comprehensive service offering.

A six-figure investment has been made by the company to develop the division, including the purchase of two new vehicles.
Two new jobs have so far been created as a result of the launch, with an access control director, Justin John and access control engineer, Richard Thomas, being appointed.
Justin John from Swansea is a fully qualified systems analyst with a business information technology (BIT) degree and vast experience in architectural ironmongery, access control systems and bespoke systems design across various sectors. His previous positions within various hardware merchants and door manufacturing firms place him as an ideal candidate to develop AB Glass’ new investment.

Richard Thomas also from Swansea is a fully qualified locksmith and auto locksmith. As an ADSA accredited installer with an in-depth knowledge of the industry, his experience will be invaluable to the new division.
The new access control division will enhance AB Glass’ offering and enable the company to become a one-stop shop for manufactured aluminium and access control products for both the domestic and commercial markets.
Its new access control product range includes: window, door and gate automation; voice and video entry systems; biometric systems; high security doors; cloud based systems; network systems; and mobile phone connectivity systems.
Justin John, newly appointed access control director at AB Glass, said:
“AB Glass is a very professional and respected company, so to be offered the chance to join such a successful business is exciting. When considering the portfolio of projects AB Glass has completed, the new access control division to the company will compliment an already market leading service.
“The new division will offer AB Glass’ clients a complete solution for doors and access control while offering an efficient single point of contact for the service. Our ability to collaborate with the end user to design the bespoke access systems they want before projects are tendered to main contractors, means the client will always have the specified systems they require. Our approach limits delays and time on-site for contractors, and is therefore more cost effective for the client.”
Alan Brayley, managing director of AB Glass, said:
“The launch of our new access control division is a natural progression to the existing business offer and we are really pleased and excited to have Justin and Richard join us in taking this forward.
“We have had substantial positive feedback from many of our customers, particularly major contractors we work with, about now being able to offer access control systems in-house, as it complements our existing product and service offering. We can therefore be a one-stop-shop for high quality aluminium and access control systems, and create greater efficiency for both the commercial and domestic markets that we operate in.”
