raig Knight has announced a 20-player squad ahead of Cymru’s UEFA U17 Qualifying Round tournament in south Wales over the next fortnight.

Cymru will face Belgium and Gibraltar in the three-team group. Knight’s side begin the campaign on Saturday 18 November against Belgium at Cardiff International Sports Campus, Leckwith (KO 4pm), followed by facing Gibraltar on Tuesday 21 November at Dragon Park, Newport (KO 1pm).

The match against Belgium will be free, ticketless entry but the match against Gibraltar will be played behind closed doors with access for friends and family only. Both matches will be free to watch on RedWall+, the FAW’s streaming platform.

52 nations are involved in the qualifying round: the 54 entrants minus hosts Cyprus (who qualify direct for the final tournament) and top seeds Netherlands (who enter in the elite round).

The top two teams in each group progress to the elite round along with the five third-placed teams with the best records against the top two in their section. March’s elite round will decide the 15 teams joining Cyprus in the finals from 20 May to 5 June.

Cymru MU17: Max HUDSON (Manchester City), Luis LINES (Coventry City), Ronan KPAKIO (Cardiff City), Osian WILLIAMS (Swansea City), Brayden CLARKE (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Iestyn JONES (Swansea City), Ben PHILLIPS (Swansea City), Rhys MORRISH (West Bromwich Albion), Bruce LEEMING (Blackburn Rovers), Jac THOMAS (Cardiff City), Makenzie BRADBURY (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Harlan PERRY (Swansea City), Luis GARDNER (Everton), Adam BRETT (Brighton & Hove Albion), Josh SALMON (Bournemouth), Oliver BOSTOCK (West Bromwich Albion), Elliot MYLES (Norwich City), Cruz ALLEN (Derby County), Louis GRIFFITHS (Oxford United), Josh GENTLES (Rangers).
