Blaenau Gwent Council will soon be conducting a small trial throughout the borough to establish the most suitable electrical vehicle home charging solutions. The trial, subject to funding, will involve a number of potential options designed specifically for safe on-street electrical charging of properties that do not have access to off street parking, as the trailing of cables to charge a vehicle is not permitted.

There are numerous companies offering solutions to the problem of on-street charging, some including gully solutions and innovative chargers that can be recessed into the footway. The Council is currently exploring all options to decide what will work best for us in Blaenau Gwent.

If you would like to register your interest and potentially take part in an upcoming trial, please email: [email protected] and include your address and why you would like to participate.
