Whilst regarded as a summer sport, Glamorgan Cricket are working hard to keep the spirit of cricket alive throughout all seasons; including Spring. Hosting a range of camps throughout the year, Glamorgan Cricket are going to great lengths to promote the many things the club are doing in the way of Children’s sport.
Having seen a recent spike in interest across the nation, Glamorgan Cricket will be running cricket camps over the Easter holidays, all of which offer inclusive learning opportunities, regardless of prior experience.
Stuart Grimmond is a National Cricket Centre (NCC) Coach who organises and runs the camps. Talking on this year’s schedule, he says:
“Our cricket camps are open to all abilities. By attending, children can improve their batting, bowling and most importantly, have fun and make new friends! We expect this year’s Easter camps to be a real success and look forward to welcoming more children to the sport.”
Glamorgan Cricket will be running these cricket camps for 6 – 11-year-olds on the 3rd and 12th of April. These will run from 10am-4pm and are open to all abilities.
The prices are ÂŁ30 for one day and ÂŁ50 for the both. Glamorgan Cricket will also apply a 10% discount if you are a member as well as a 10% siblings discount.
Whilst the club are running so many festivals and tours to promote health and wellbeing amongst children, their softball tournaments seem to have really taken off; especially amongst young women and girls.
