Wales’s largest business organisation, FSB (Federation of Small Businesses), has strengthened its Wales team with the recent appointment of Fflur Elin as Head of External Affairs.

Fflur joins FSB from the Public Affairs team at Gatwick Airport and prior to that, worked within UK Parliament. She now takes on responsibility within FSB for maintaining and growing stakeholder engagement, leading FSB’s press and media activity and helping shape and grow FSB’s voice within Wales in supporting smaller businesses across the country.

Speaking about her appointment, Fflur said “I am thrilled to be joining the FSB Wales team at such an important time in Welsh and UK politics. The FSB plays a vital role in championing small businesses and I’m looking forward to engaging with our members to ensure their voices are heard so that they can achieve their ambitions.”

Ben Cottam, Head of Wales at FSB added “as a leading organisation informing future economic growth, it is important that FSB’s voice is as strong as ever. That is why I’m delighted to welcome Fflur to the FSB Wales team. She joins not only our talented team of staff but also our committed and passionate member volunteers in helping develop FSB’s impact across Wales. Fflur’s experience will be an invaluable asset to our work.

“With new leadership within Welsh Government and with a UK general election imminent, it’s vital that decision makers hear and understand the needs of Welsh smaller businesses. In her new role, Fflur will play an important part of articulating that voice for FSB.”
