Prepare for a magical experience as The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre proudly announces three more cast members for this year’s enchanting production of ‘Dick Whittington’. We are excited to introduce Riverfront Panto newcomers Jonathan Houlston and Mia Jae to our stage, as well as welcome back Elian West.

Last year, The Riverfront Theatre celebrated a milestone achievement with its record-breaking pantomime, Beauty and the Beast, captivating over 27,000 attendees over 65 performances and shattering previous records.

Building on her stellar performance last year as Rose, Newport-born Elian West returns to The Riverfront stage with a thrilling new challenge: her debut as a ‘panto-baddie’. Audiences can look forward to booing a whole new side of her talent as she takes on this classic panto villain.

Joining Elian in this year’s adventure are newcomers, Jonathan Houlston, and Mia Jae. Both Welsh performers bring a wealth of talent and enthusiasm to the production. Jonathan Houlston, is set to charm audiences with his portrayal of Dick Whittington, the hero of our story as he seeks to see his name in lights. Mia Jae steps into the role of our heroine, Alys Fitzmorgan, bringing her powerful voice and charismatic presence to the stage. Her fresh energy and dynamic performance, along with those of her fellow cast members, promise to make this year’s ‘Dick Whittington’ an unforgettable experience.

Creative Development Manager at The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre, Jamie Anderson says, “It’s incredibly exciting for us to Welcome Mia & Jonathan into the Riverfront pantomime for this upcoming season. Year on year, the talent that comes through this production is outstanding and I can’t wait for those that associate Riverfront Panto with their holiday seasons to see, feel and hear what we have in store for all this year.”

Embark on an adventure at The Riverfront Theatre this November! This rags-to-riches tale promises plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes, the most notorious villains, and lots of audience participation.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this extraordinary adventure! On stage from 27th November until 4th January, this timeless family pantomime will transport you to a land where love conquers all. Tickets are on sale now; secure your seats today here.
