As the new Genero Adran Premier season draws closer, The New Saints Women are delighted to announce that Summer Breed has become the latest addition to their squad.

Breed, who plays in defence, makes the move to Park Hall having previously featured for Leek Town and Huddersfield Town during her career to date.

The 23-year-old, who can play both at the heart of the backline as well as in defensive midfield, also enjoyed a year-long stint playing in the USA and will bring versatility to Shauna Duffy’s side, with their opening fixture against Barry Town United now less than four weeks away.

Breed will be an integral part of a new look TNS side who have made several new additions ahead of their first season as a semi-professional team.

Speaking after her arrival at Park Hall, Summer Breed said:

“I’m thrilled to join The New Saints and be part of such an ambitious team. I’m ready to give my all on the pitch and contribute to what will hopefully be a successful season.

“I’m extremely excited for the journey ahead and I’m looking forward to getting out on the pitch with my new teammates. We’re all determined to be fighting at the top end of the table and be back where we belong.”

Shauna Duffy, head coach at The New Saints FC, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Summer Breed to The New Saints. Summer works exceptionally hard both at club and when away from football. We believe she will be a fantastic addition to our squad.

“We’re excited to see the impact she will have both on and off the pitch as we continue to build a strong future for women’s football at the club.”
