A celebration has been held at the Cardiff office of Clarke Willmott LLP, following the firm’s move to its new city centre location.

The new 3,172 sq ft base at Callaghan Square represents a positive move into the heart of the city’s business district and a commitment to the firm’s hybrid working strategy and ESG plans.

The grand opening was attended by staff from across Clarke Willmott’s seven regional offices as well as clients, business contacts and suppliers.

Relocating from Pierhead Street, the colleagues moved to the prime location earlier this summer and have been settling into the space since.

The launch event showcased Clarke Willmott’s commitment to the region with guests being treated to a tour of the new facilities, followed by words from Head of the Cardiff office, Vicky Kells, who detailed the firm’s future plans.

She said: “The new office is a hugely exciting move for us and so we were delighted to celebrate it and mark the occasion with our valued colleagues, friends and clients.

“We are approaching our 10-year anniversary in Cardiff and so a city centre location, in the heart of the booming business scene, is where we want to be. We’re a steadfast part of the business community and this move showcases our commitment to the city.

“We have an impressive portfolio of clients including the Welsh Government, and we’re recognised for our work in real estate,, banking and finance, construction, planning andsocial housing. Looking ahead to the future we will continue to make our mark on the Welsh legal scene and develop our areas of expertise as part of our growth plans.”

Clarke Willmott’s CEO, Peter Swinburn, said: “This launch event marks an exciting time for Clarke Willmott as we continue to develop our property portfolio. Last year we enhanced our Birmingham offering with a new purpose-built office in Colmore Row, as well as unveiling a major refurbishment of our Taunton office. This year we opened a new office in Bristol at Assembly Building C and our Cardiff office is the latest property to benefit from an improved environment for our people and clients.”

Clarke Willmott has taken space on the second floor of 2 Callaghan Square and has created an open plan office space crafted to compliment hybrid working and accommodate both in-person and remote working.

The state-of-the art space comprises an impressive business lounge which makes the ideal location for collaborative or more relaxed meetings; 25 sit/stand desks; a privacy booth; and a range of meeting and conference rooms for client and colleague catch ups. Staff and visitors also have access to a kitchen, secure bicycle storage, showers and changing rooms.

Less than 10 minutes’ walk from Cardiff Central train station and less than 20 minutes’ walk from Queen Street train station, the office move plays a vital role in Clarke Willmott’s commitment to sustainability and closely follows the relocation of the Bristol headquarters to a new grade A space.
