Three men have been sent to prison after stealing two vans in broad daylight.

At around 12:35pm on Wednesday October 31, 2023, whilst at bus stops on North Road at the junction with Gabalfa roundabout, the victim was confronted by Tom Price and had his work van stolen.

The victim, a 61-year-old man from Rhondda, told police that he was cleaning one of the bus shelters with his back facing the van. He has then heard Price shout at him “Where are the keys?”. The victim has turned to face him, Price has then repeated aggressively “Where are the keys?” another two or three times.

In fear of violence, he said the keys were in the van.

Tom Price ran over to the van and got in the driver’s side and drove off towards Gabalfa roundabout.

Price was later involved in another theft of a van, this time from a garage in Cardiff, along with Thomas Price and Kevin Price.

The three came to view a van and when sitting in the driver’s seat they swapped the keys and stole the van.

Through extensive CCTV footage officers were able to identify all three suspects and were able to recover the stolen vans’ dashcam footage.
