On Sunday December 8th DEPOT will host Christmas in Cardiff, a free, festive carol service welcoming everyone to share in the joy and hope of the season.

This magical evening (5 – 8pm) will feature performances by the Pendyrus Male Voice Choir and the Hope Cymru Kids Choir as well as an inspiring message from renowned international speaker J. John. The Archbishop of Wales and the Bishop of Llandaff will also be in attendance, leading traditional Christmas carols and joining in the celebration of this unforgettable event.

This family friendly event promises an evening filled with festive food, beautiful music, and the heart-warming story of Christmas—a message that brings hope, light, and transformation, especially in challenging times.

    A Tradition of Hope

For the past two years, Hope Cymru events have been celebrated at Llandaff Cathedral, drawing large crowds and featuring outstanding performances by the Hope Kids Choir, Pendyrus Male Voice Choir, Sound of Wales, Tamil and Urdu Fellowships, and the City of Cardiff Male Voice Choir. Distinguished speakers such as Glen Scrivener and dignitaries including the Lord Mayor of Cardiff have made these gatherings some of the most hopeful events of the season.

This year, the event moves to the DEPOT venue to accommodate more guests. The venue has been beautifully decorated in traditional red, white and green, welcoming even more people to join the celebration and experience the true meaning of Christmas.

Festive Food, Mulled Wine, and a Pop Up Pub

    O’Dickels

Alongside the carol concert, attendees can enjoy festive treats and refreshments, with the DEPOT serving mulled wine, hot coffees and Bailey’s hot chocolates. Adding to the festive atmosphere, attendees at the carol concert can also enjoy a perfect pint of Guinness at “O’Dickels,” a cosy Irish pub installation which has been custom-built inside the venue.
