Mon Motors is back to support several Run 4 Wales events in 2025.

Since 2019 the car dealership has been providing lead cars to help athletes smash course records and achieve their personal bests.

The group will once again be providing the lead cars for several races in 2025 – a Ford and Skoda during the ABP Newport Marathon Festival on Sunday 13 April and an Audi and Volvo for the Cardiff Half Marathon, which takes place on Sunday 5 October.

The Mon Motors Group is a family run company that was established in 1971 and is now one of the largest dealer groups in south Wales and the South West. Its main dealerships are for Audi, CUPRA, Ford, Ford Commercial, SEAT, Skoda, Volvo, Volkswagen and Volkswagen Vans with a large used car operation and several multi-brand service centres, body shops and trade parts division alongside.

Chris Whelton, Marketing Manager at Mon Motors, said: “We love supplying the ABP Newport Marathon Festival and Cardiff Half Marathon with their lead pace cars and we’re passionate about helping people achieve their best. For those that like what they see, come and visit us in one of our state-of-the-art showrooms where we’ll be able to work with you to enhance your driving experience.”

Matt Newman, Chief Executive at event organisers, Run 4 Wales, added: “We’re delighted that Mon Motors are continuing to support us at the ABP Newport Marathon Festival in April and the Cardiff Half Marathon in October. For the past five years, their cars have been leading our elite runners to smash course records and personal best times and hopefully we’ll see much of the same for 2025.”
