Accountancy firm Bevan & Buckland, is marking the beginning of a second century of trading with the addition of several key hires as part of a company-wide digital transformation program – the largest in its 100 Year history.

With Accountancy & Finance becoming increasingly technology focussed, the company is taking proactive steps as it seeks to establish itself as one of the leading accountancy practices in Wales by 2020.

The firm is looking to appoint three senior hires initially, with more over the next two years. These newly created roles will sit alongside regular Tax, Audit & Accounts openings as the firm continues to grow organically, expanding its client base by investing in the skills and talent of its people, rather than through acquisition.

Managing Partner Alison Vickers is excited about what’s in store for the business moving into 2019:

“We’re thrilled to announce these new roles, all of which form a key part of our strategy for the years ahead. We firmly believe it’s our people that make our business, and we’re committed to ensuring that all our employees, present and future, have the best possible opportunity to grow, develop and progress.”

The Accountancy market has grown exponentially in Wales in recent years, as evidenced by the investment of some of the larger Accountancy firms, and Alison sees this investment as a positive for the sector:

“Recent expansion in the region from some of the larger practices highlights the wealth of Accountancy & Finance talent we have in Wales.

“As an independent practice we’re able to offer fantastic career opportunities, clear progression paths and long-term professional development, as well as allowing our employees a flexible, supportive working environment, and a great deal of autonomy.”

Bevan & Buckland have enlisted Cardiff-based Accountancy Recruitment specialists Vargo Recruitment to manage its talent attraction.

Associate Director Tom Miller said the career opportunities at Bevan & Buckland would become some of the more enviable positions in a growing market:

“We’re delighted to be supporting Bevan & Buckland as they move into a quite staggering second century of trading. This longevity is a testament to the quality and talent-first approach of the organisation, and we’re excited to support them as they continue to grow through this exciting period. The career opportunities Bevan & Buckland can offer to ambitious Tax, Audit and Accountancy professionals are second to none, and we’re excited to be a part of their journey.”
