A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with a murder investigation.

Shortly before 12.30pm on Sunday, 23 February, officers were called to an address on the Gwynant estate in Acrefair, Wrexham.

The call related to concerns for the safety of a 37-year-old male resident.

Upon officers arriving at the scene, he was sadly pronounced deceased by attending paramedics.

An investigation into the circumstances of the man’s death is underway, and two men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Thomas Iveson, of the Plas Madoc area, has this week (Wednesday, 26 February) been charged with murder and will appear before Wrexham Magistrates Court on Thursday, 27 February.

The second man, a 32-year-old from Wrexham, has since been released on bail while investigations continue.

The coroner has been informed, and the deceased’s family are being supported by specially trained officers.
