Principality Building Society has appointed experienced financial leader Claire Hafner to be a non-executive director of its Board.

Mrs Hafner is a qualified accountant who has substantial experience in a wide range of sectors including finance, multimedia and telecoms.  She has held senior positions throughout her career, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of international finance company, Fintrax. Her CV also includes working for Barclays, BT, Ernst & Young, Euro Disney, Eversheds, and Guinness Brewery.

Laurie Adams, Chair of the Board at Principality Building Society, said:

“Claire is a very well regarded and accomplished finance professional who is highly commercial, strategic, analytical and change oriented. She possesses a wealth of IT, technology and digital experience within financial services. Her knowledge will be a real asset as we transform our core business of mortgages and savings.
“She fully embraces the ethos of the mutual sector and is an exciting addition to the Board of Principality.”

Mrs Hafner said: “I am delighted to join Principality’s Board. Many of my roles have involved working for organisations that have been transforming their business so I am joining at an exciting time in the Society’s long and rich history. I am looking forward to working on behalf of our Members.”
