South Wales construction firms and tradespeople can find out about opportunities to work with expanding Cardiff-based partnership homes specialist Lovell at a free networking event on Friday, 16 November.

[aoa id=”1″]Lovell – which builds, refurbishes, regenerates and maintains homes and communities across the region – is inviting local contractors to the Meet the Buyerevent taking place from 9am to 2pm at the Miskin Manor Hotel, Pendoylan Road, Groesfaen, Pontyclun, CF72 8ND (M4, J34 Llantrisant) The company, which has offices in Tongwynlais, wants to hear from contractors covering the M4 corridor from Newport to Carmarthen, including Mid and West Wales.[/aoa]

Lovell regional managing director Kate Rees explains:

“Our continuing growth across the region has led to an ever-increasing number of exciting projects. We are very interested in meeting supply chain partners with the relevant experience and expertise to work with us on high-quality new homes schemes.”  In South Wales and the South West, the company’s regional forward order book to 2021 exceeds £200 million with developments planned throughout the region.

“The Meet the Buyerevent is an excellent opportunity to get to know our team and our approach to partnership working,” says Kate Rees. “We are always keen to hear from people with the right skills who want to work with us. As a business, we are a firm believer in creating benefits for local people and businesses in the areas where we operate. Providing the chance for local firms and individuals to work with us on our award-winning schemes is a big part of that community commitment.”

Major schemes currently include landmark west Cardiff development The Mill, a new urban village creating 800 open market sale and affordable homes. The development has been honoured with a string of awards, including Best First Time Buyer Family Hometitle at the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards. Lovell build manager Mark O’Neill was recently named overall regional winner for Wales (Large builder category) by the NHBC Pride in the Job awards programme for his work on The Mill.Lovell has also just started construction on Ymyl Yr Afon, a £25 million, 153-home development at the former site of the Merthyr Vale Colliery near Merthyr Tydfil.
