Guts and Poirier, two pioneering beatmakers renowned for their genre-defying fusion of electronic and Afro-Atlantic rhythms, will co-headline for the first time on an exclusive European tour, which lands at Tramshed in Cardiff on Friday 14th November. The tour marks the 15th anniversary celebration of their respective iconic albums; Guts with his legendary Paradise For All on Heavenly Sweetness and Poirier with his iconic Running High on Ninja Tune, set to unite two generations of fans on one dance floor in Cardiff.

Guts and Poirier have built parallel careers blending hip-hop, reggae, dub and global grooves into dancefloor-ready soundscapes. Though separated by the Atlantic – Guts in Spain and Poirier in Canada – they’ve always been connected by the scene that drives them.

Originally making his name behind the scenes as a producer for French hip-hop acts like Alliance Ethnik and Svinkels, Guts launched his solo career in 2007 with debut album, Le Bienheureux. After exploring darker textures on Freedom, he relocated to Ibiza and released Paradise For All, earning acclaim for its Afro-tropical vibrancy. Beyond other boundary pushing original albums, Guts is a stellar selector, picking out raw grooves and revitalising classics.

Canadian composer, DJ and musician Ghislain Poirier marks a 25-year career with twelve studio albums released on Ninja Tune, Wonderwheel Recordings and more. Running High cemented his reputation for melding electronic and acoustic textures into timeless, emotive club music. He’s toured over 30 countries and performed at festivals such as Boomtown, Dour and Sonar, while remixing artists from Gotan Project to Guts.

Located in the heart of Cardiff’s creative quarter, Tramshed’s 1,000 capacity main room, with its industrial heritage, state-of-the-art sound system and vibrant atmosphere make it the perfect setting for this night of Afro-Atlantic celebration.
