Hazlewoods has consolidated its position as having one of the UK’s leading Corporate Finance teams in a newly released report.

Based on the number of M&A deals completed in the first nine months of 2025, Experian MarketIQ’s Q3 report ranks Hazlewoods the fifth most active financial adviser in the UK.

This cements the firm’s reputation for delivering expert end-to-end deal advisory services and demonstrates its growing national presence, with over 600 professionals across offices in Cheltenham, Bristol and Cardiff, and a dedicated team of more than 50 corporate finance specialists.

In October, Hazlewoods marked one year of operations in Cardiff, having expanded into Wales last year. Through its Cardiff office, the accountancy and business-advisory firm has grown quickly, building a local team of over twenty and welcoming new graduates while strengthening its foothold in south Wales.

Regional performance highlights compared with the same period in 2024:

    • South West: Hazlewoods has climbed to 3rd place (up from 4th)
    • Wales: continues to hold 6th place
    • London: the firm is now the 5th most active adviser in the capital (up from 10th)
    • South East: a significant rise to 2nd place (up from 9th)
    • East of England: Hazlewoods maintains 5th place
    • Midlands: holds steady at 6th place
    • North West: moves up to 4th place (from 9th)
    • North East: holds 7th place
    • Scotland: holds 8th place

Hazlewoods is widely recognised for its ability to deliver tailored, value-driven advice to clients navigating complex deals.

M&A Partner, John Lucas, said: “These results demonstrate our continued commitment to providing exceptional services and building lasting relationships. They are also a testament to the hard work and dedication of our Corporate Finance team.”

Hazlewoods success reflects its expertise across a range of specialist areas, including health and social care, professional and financial services, dental, veterinary, legal, educational, technology, and agriculture sectors, as well as skill in assisting owner-managed businesses from all sectors with succession and managing private equity-backed transactions.
