Wales’ leading mechanical, electrical and compliance company, Riverside, donates over £5000 for the second year, to charities across South Wales in time for Christmas.
Based in Bridgend, Riverside delivers mechanical, electrical and compliance services for businesses across South Wales and the rest of the UK. Each year, the team reach out to the community to nominate charities for their annual Christmas initiative.
This year, Riverside are donating over £5000 to local charities, including Friends of Heronsbridge, Cardiff Dogs Home: Rescue Hotel, Banc Bwyd Port Talbot Food Bank and Fostering Together Bridgend. Over the last few weeks, the team has been getting ready to deliver selection boxes, vouchers, dog food, children’s toys, food and other items to support those in need. Charities were chosen from nominations submitted online by members of the local community across Wales.
Rachel Andrews, Owner of Fostering Together Bridgend said, “Absolutely blown away by how generous Riverside are to our charity. From donations to pay for bus hire and fundraising, to Christmas gifts for children in care. It makes a huge difference to our children, and I know foster carers in Bridgend feel the same. Without their support, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. Thank you so, so much!”
Nancy Firth, Kennel Assistant from Cardiff Dogs Home: Rescue Hotel, said, “We rely on community support for our core operations. This donation allows our team and our 1,000+ incredible volunteers to focus on their mission – delivering the training and care necessary to keep our dogs healthy and happy. Thank you for your contribution”.
Aimee John, Business Manager at Riverside, said, “We’d like to say a massive thank you to our staff, suppliers and customers for getting involved this year and making this all possible. These donations will help provide much-needed support to those in need, specifically benefiting children in care and those with additional learning needs, along with the local food bank and dog rescue home. To the incredible volunteers who run these organisations, we are proud to support such fantastic charities in South Wales and thank them for their continuous effort in bettering our community.”
Charitable efforts were significantly boosted by the support of suppliers, including Logical, Edmondsons, Wolseley, BSS, and City Plumbing, as well as staff and other local businesses across South Wales.
