Changes will be made in January to the 302, 349 and X49 local bus services, operated by First Cymru.

Starting from Monday, 5th January 2026, new morning peak journeys in both directions will be added to the 349 service between Haverfordwest and Tenby via Pembroke Dock.

This will provide new opportunities for those travelling to Tenby and Pembroke Dock for work and school and fill a gap in the Haverfordwest-bound schedule.

The first additional bus will depart Haverfordwest at 06:25 via Neyland (07:02) and Pembroke Dock (07:17) and arrive in Tenby at 08:16. The second will depart Tenby at 07:20 via Pembroke Dock (08:30) and Neyland (08:44) and arrive in Haverfordwest at 09:14.

Other minor changes to the 349 timetable will be implemented at the same time to improve punctuality.

As a result of this change, from Monday, 5th January, the X49 journey between Haverfordwest and Tenby via Narberth will depart an hour earlier (at 06:30).

Amendments to the 302 timetable will also be introduced from Monday, 5th January, to improve punctuality and reliability on that service.

The new timetables are available online.

A consultation has been launched seeking views on proposed changes to a number of other bus services around the Haverfordwest area to improve reliability and provide better connections with other bus and train services.

The proposals affect the following services:

    • 301 – Haverfordwest Town Service
    • 307 – Haverfordwest – Merlin’s Bridge circular
    • 308 – Haverfordwest – Llangwm – Burton circular
    • 311 – Haverfordwest to Broad Haven
    • 313 – Haverfordwest to Wiston

The consultation is available online. The deadline for responses is 26th January 2026.  Any changes to these bus services would be introduced in Spring 2026.

Paper copies of the new timetables and the consultation document can be requested by contacting 01437 764551 or [email protected].
