A man from Swansea who led a drug trafficking operation has been jailed.
22-year-old Abbas Al-Sulaimawi, from Waun Wen, was running the “Milly” drugs line, which was bulk texting to drug users offering the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
Al-Sulaimawi often changed his drug line number to evade detection, but a joint effort by South Wales Police and Metropolitan Police resulted in the drug lines being attributed to him.
Upon his arrest, Al-Sulaimawi was found to have the sim cards for two drug lines concealed within a waistband inside clothing found in his bedroom.
He was also found to have £3,490 cash concealed underneath a wardrobe in his bedroom.
After pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin, he has been sentenced to five years, seven months and two weeks in prison.
Sergeant Luke Tucker said:
“Abbas Al-Sulaimawi, despite being just 22 years of age, has multiple previous convictions for being involved in the supply of Class A drugs.
“He just cannot stay away from peddling the misery that these drugs cause onto the streets of Swansea. It is very satisfying to see that justice has now caught up with him, and he will rightfully spend years in prison.”
