CAMBRIA University Centre students celebrated a milestone moment in their careers at a glittering graduation ceremony

The annual celebration – held at the Glanrafon conference centre at Cambria Yale in Wrexham – brought together 36 graduates who had successfully completed Higher National and professional qualifications.

They were joined by lecturers, friends and family for an afternoon of well-deserved recognition.

Qualifications celebrated on the day spanned a broad range of disciplines – from the AAT Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting and CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management, to ILM Level 4 and Level 5 Management and Leadership awards, HNC and HND Construction Management, and HND Animal Management – reflecting the diverse higher education pathways available through the centre.

Dr Steven Peacock, Vice Principal of Academic Studies, said: “Congratulations to all our students on their fantastic accomplishments. This celebration recognises not only academic achievement, but also the dedication, resilience and ambition shown by every student throughout their journey with us.

“These qualifications are helping to shape future leaders, professionals and specialists across North Wales and beyond, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.”

The event was supported by partners including the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and Pearson, all recognised for their collaboration in delivering high-quality professional qualifications.

Following the formal presentation of awards, guests enjoyed refreshments, photographs and celebrations with family and friends, with a popular photo booth proving a highlight of the afternoon.

The ceremony reflects Cambria University Centre’s broader commitment to expanding access to higher education across the region.

The centre continues to develop its provision through modular and blended learning, with a focus on growth areas including digital skills, leadership, sustainability, construction and professional services, notably its Digital 2030 initiative, which aims to equip learners with the skills needed to thrive in a workplace increasingly shaped by technology and AI.
