A large audience enjoyed a vibrant and uplifting concert presented by the Ceredigion Music Service at Aberystwyth Arts Centre last Sunday.

The memorable event showcased the remarkable talent of young musicians from across the county, alongside distinguished guest performers.

The programme featured Ceredigion Music Service Intermediate Orchestra and Choir, who performed a diverse repertoire, ranging from arrangements of traditional Welsh music to works from the classical period and musical theatre.

The concert also provided an opportunity to highlight the talents of senior members of the service who will represent the county at a national level when they compete at the Urdd Eisteddfod at the end of May and with national ensembles during the summer break.

The evening was further enhanced by special guest appearances from acclaimed tenor Trystan Llyr Griffiths, pianist David Doidge and Cardigan-based male voice choir, Côr Meibion Ar Ôl 3.

Their contributions added depth and richness to the programme, creating inspiring moments of collaboration between professional artists and aspiring young musicians.

Dan Edwards-Phillips, Ceredigion Music Service manager, said: “We are incredibly proud of all the young people who performed. They have grown in confidence and character throughout the rehearsal process and we couldn’t be prouder of what they achieved on stage.

“Sharing the stage with such renowned artists made the evening even more special and provided a truly inspiring experience for everyone involved.”
