City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice, is one of four chosen charities taking part in the capital’s inaugural Inflatable 5K this summer.
On 27 June, participants of all ages will bounce, slide and laugh their way through the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course at Heath Park.

The course will consist of giant inflatable obstacles, foam and challenges for all abilities. Described as the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course, the 5K features two laps of the course and 30 obstacles including ‘the crawler’, ‘duck n dive’, ‘crash bang’ and ‘the boss’. There are also other routes available varying from 2.5K to 15K, making it the perfect, fun-filled day out for families, friends and colleagues.
Funds raised will help City Hospice continue providing specialist home-based palliative care and a wide range of services including welfare advice, complementary therapies, bereavement support and counselling to its patients and families in Cardiff. Other charities that will be supported by the event include Cardiff & Vale Health Charity, Boomerang Cardiff and Sparkle.
Mac Smith, Fundraising and Events Manager at City Hospice, said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as a charity partner of Cardiff’s first-ever inflatable 5K. It’s a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to come together and have fun, while raising essential funds for local hospice care.
“At City Hospice our aim is to ensure that every patient in our care can live their lives to the fullest for as long as possible, whilst creating lasting memories for their families. Events like this offer an enjoyable and unique experience to support our community and those who need our care. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone taking part and helping us continue our important work across Cardiff.”
