voco St David’s Cardiff has become one of only a handful of spas in the UK to offer “Nurturing Touch”, a specialist wellbeing treatment from spa partner ishga Skincare, designed specifically for people undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.
Available now at The Spa at St David’s, the deeply nurturing treatment has been carefully developed to provide comfort, relaxation and emotional support in a safe and restorative environment. The treatment is SATCC approved, meaning therapists have undertaken specialist Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care training to ensure treatments can be adapted safely and sensitively to individual client needs.
The experience combines gentle touch therapies with ishga’s organic seaweed skincare range, helping to calm the nervous system, soothe the skin and create a sense of relaxation and reconnection during what can often be an emotionally and physically challenging time.
Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation, allowing the therapist to tailor the experience around the client’s personal circumstances, treatment journey and comfort levels. The therapy is designed to be adaptable for a wide range of considerations including fatigue, sensitive skin, anxiety, stress and tension.
Using slow, mindful massage techniques and calming products rich in natural antioxidants and minerals, the treatment aims to promote relaxation, improve wellbeing and provide a moment of calm and care for the individual.
