Police are urging motorists to avoid the area around Ogmore-by-Sea after an incident led to the village car park being blocked.
In a statement issued this afternoon, South Wales Police confirmed officers are currently at the scene of an incident at Ogmore-by-Sea car park.
The force said: “We’re at the scene of an incident at Ogmore by sea car park, Ogmore by sea.
“The Ogmore by sea car park is blocked.
“Please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Thank you for your patience.”
No further details about the nature of the incident have yet been released.
Ogmore-by-Sea is a popular destination along the Vale of Glamorgan coastline, particularly during warm weather and bank holiday weekends, with visitors regularly using the main seafront car park to access the beach and coastal paths.
Motorists travelling to the area are being advised to plan ahead and expect disruption until the incident is resolved.
