Three people have been taken to hospital after a car collided with a retail premises at Cardiff Gate Services earlier today.
South Wales Police confirmed officers are continuing to deal with the incident at the motorway service area on the outskirts of Cardiff.
It is understood the vehicle crashed into a shop unit at the site, with emergency services attending the scene.
According to police, those taken to hospital include an eight-year-old child and a 39-year-old man, who were both pedestrians, along with the 76-year-old woman believed to have been driving the vehicle.
Police said it is understood that none of the injuries are life threatening.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We are currently dealing with an incident at the Cardiff Gate Services.
“It is understood a car collided with a retail premises on the site.
“Three people have been taken to hospital including an 8-year-old child and a 39-year-old man, who were both pedestrians, and a 76-year-old woman who was driver of the vehicle.
“It is understood none of the injuries are life threatening.
“An investigation into the incident is underway.”
Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who was at Cardiff Gate Services at the time of the collision to come forward.
