Popular Cardiff restaurant chain Toby Carvery Cardiff Gate is set to temporarily close its doors this week as it undergoes a major refurbishment.
The well-known carvery restaurant will close from Wednesday, 27 May 2026, while work takes place on an extensive makeover of the venue.
The restaurant is expected to reopen on 18 June with a fresh new look for customers.
During the closure period, customers are being directed to their nearest alternative branch at Toby Carvery Caerphilly.
The Cardiff Gate branch has been serving customers for decades and forms part of the wider Toby Carvery brand, which this year marks 40 years of serving traditional British roast dinners across the UK.
Known for its carvery-style roast meats, fresh vegetables, family-friendly menus and classic desserts, the restaurant has become a popular choice for diners visiting the Cardiff Gate area.
The refurbishment comes as hospitality brands across the UK continue investing in upgraded dining spaces and improved customer experiences.
