Visitors travelling to this year’s National Eisteddfod in north Pembrokeshire are being encouraged to leave the car at home, with a range of extra bus services operating throughout the festival.
The enhanced services will make it easier for people to reach Eisteddfod y Garreg Las at Llantwd, with additional routes, later evening journeys and a free shuttle bus available during the event.
The TrawsCymru T5 service will take passengers directly to the Maes, operating regularly between Haverfordwest and Cardigan via Fishguard.
TrawsCymru will also provide more frequent buses and late evening services between Fishguard and Cardigan throughout National Eisteddfod week.
Meanwhile, the 430 bus service will continue to connect Narberth and Cardigan via Crymych.
Thanks to support from Pembrokeshire County Council, the route will operate every day during the Eisteddfod, with all services running the full route to and from Narberth. An additional late evening bus will also leave directly from the Maes at 11.15pm, with passengers able to change in Cardigan for onward travel.
Visitors can also take advantage of Bws yr Arglwydd Rhys, a free shuttle bus running between Finch Square in Cardigan and the Maes every hour, on the hour, from 7am until midnight.
Free bus travel is available for anyone with an All Wales Concessionary Bus Pass.
Young people aged 21 and under can travel for £1 per journey, up to a maximum of £3 for unlimited travel throughout the day. Those aged between 16 and 21 will need a MyTravelPass to access the discounted fares.
Special National Eisteddfod fares are also available through TrawsCymru.
