A Cardiff drug dealer has been jailed following an investigation by Cardiff and Vale’s Serious Organised Crime team.

Ashlee Omar, aged 23, of Tremorfa, was sentenced to 3 years 10 months in prison on August 5 at Swansea Crown Court for being Concerned in supply of Heroin and Crack Cocaine.

The court heard how, during an investigation into a Class A drug line operating in Cardiff, a number was identified in connection with the line. Further investigations linked this number to Ashlee Omar, known to customers as ‘Ash’.

Omar was arrested by officers on June 19, with a substance believed to be cocaine seized from his pocket. Omar was charged shortly after before pleading guilty to the offences at Cardiff Magistrates Court on June 22, 2026.

Detective Inspector Alex Bartley said:“This is another great piece of investigative work by the Cardiff and Vale Serious Organised Crime team, who have ensured another drug dealer is out of our community. The drugs that he was distributing in the area have devastating and long-lasting consequences on the users, their families, and the wider community. I’m pleased to see this sentence handed down today.”
