Families across Cardiff and beyond have less than one week left to take advantage of the popular Kids Go Free offer for The Spirit of Christmas at Bute Park, giving them the chance to enjoy one of Wales’ most magical festive experiences for less.
The limited-time offer allows families booking an Off-Peak Early Bird ticket to claim up to two free child tickets for children aged 3–16 when purchasing a paying adult ticket. Families can secure the offer by using code KIDSBUTE when booking, while availability lasts.
Taking place in the heart of Cardiff from 19th November to 31st December 2026, The Spirit of Christmas at Bute Park will transform the iconic park into a spectacular festive light trail, featuring dazzling installations, immersive experiences and a Christmas Village filled with seasonal food, drinks and family fun.
This year, the trail is set to return with its most ambitious transformation yet, unveiling a completely reimagined festive experience that will take visitors on an interactive journey through the heart of Christmas Spirit.
Visitors will step into a magical festive adventure where they must help keep the Christmas Spirit alive by journeying through four enchanting realms: Joy, Wonder, Hope and Magic.
Each realm will feature stunning light displays, interactive experiences and immersive storytelling designed to bring the spirit of Christmas to life in a fresh and memorable way.
With the festive season often placing extra pressure on family budgets, the Kids Go Free offer provides an opportunity for families to create unforgettable Christmas memories while making their money go further.
Creative director Lizzie Rayner said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating our sixth year in Cardiff in 2026, and we know many families have made our light trail part of their festive traditions. We’re looking forward to welcoming back returning visitors, as well as those experiencing it for the first time. It may be the summer but it’s the perfect time to get organised so you have a lovely date in the Christmas diary and with the Kids Go Free offer available now, you can enjoy a saving too.”
The popular Christmas Village is back again for 2026 and returning favourites will sit alongside exciting new street food vendors, ensuring there is something for every taste. There will also be performances from choirs to add to the festive spirit and two inclusive evenings for neurodiverse guests with reduced audience capacity and reduced audio volume.
Ticket offer:
Visitors who book an off-peak slot before 31st August can receive up to two free child tickets (ages 3–16) on top of Early Bird pricing by using the code KIDSBUTE at checkout.
